Currently the Transport sector is one of the largest polluters and carbon emitters. It is estimated to be responsible for 13% of all emissions of greenhouse gases and around 23% of world's Carbon Emissions from the combustion of fossils. 

However, the scary fact is, these emission are estimated to double over the next 4 decades or so.

Because of the environmental issues and also the rising cost of fuel, public transport are becoming more and more popular. On top of this, investments are being into more environment ways to travel such as Reduced Fuel Consumption/Fuel Saving vehicles and Eco Fuels that's kinder to our environment.
