Specialist Grocers and Internet shopping site serving North Cornwall, selling Local farm Produce,Organic and Fairtrade We have a 15-year history as a food store and our passion for food has not diminished. Our goal is to experience food together with our customers by using this philosophy to fill our shelves; we feel it promotes dialogue between our customers and us.

We are a mix of specialty foods and everyday needs including vegetarian, Organic, vegan, and local farm produce we support local and Organic producers and we also focus on fair trade products from around the world. Sales of organic and local food are booming and shoppers are increasingly spurning supermarkets to buy produce directly from growers and independent retailers Organic and local food sales through box schemes, farm shops and farmers' markets increased by 33 per cent in the UK in 2004, and through independent shops by 43 per cent, whilst the main supermarkets saw their share of organic food sales fall from 81 per cent to 75 per cent, as consumers become more concerned about food miles, packaging and provenance. People are now realising they need to trust the food they eat consumers are aware of how much is imported and they do want to buy British and local to their region if they can health scares have made people realise that if food is produced cheaply, there will be ramifications to follow, either with their health or the effect on the land people now think conventional food is just too cheap for a reason. Increasing numbers of people are eager to buy local, to obtain the freshest food possible and to cut down on environmental pollution. Our weekly box scheme is a way of getting fresh produce from us, the retailer, to you, the consumer, with the minimum of time between harvesting and eating, and with reduced transportation. The vegetable box consists of produce, the majority of which has been grown in the Southwest. Much of the fruit consists of bought in produce but we try to source as much UK grown produce as possible.
